Overview

Firebird Fund, created in 1994, was among the first funds dedicated to investment in publicly traded Russian equities. Since then Firebird has launched five additional portfolio equity funds: Firebird New Russia Fund, Firebird Republics Fund, Firebird Global Fund, Firebird Global Fund II, and Firebird Avrora Fund. In April 2002, Firebird launched its first private equity vehicle as a joint venture with Danske Capital, Sampo Bank. Amber Trust S.C.A., and in January 2005, Amber Trust II S.C.A. both focus their investments on the Baltic States. In March 2010, Firebird Mongolia Fund, a closed-end fund that is one of the first dedicated to investment in Mongolia. In June 2011, Firebird launched Firebird New Mongolia Fund, L.P., a limited partnership focused on private and public investments in Mongolia.
